If you’ve ever thought about adding an Escape Room activity to your camp (or other youth) program, you're in the right place.

This summit wasn't just about Escape Rooms. We’ll also introduced attendees to Mystery Trails, Portable Escape Games, Large Group Table-Top Games, Pop-Up Escape Rooms and Puzzle Races.

The online summit ended with a Live Q&A Panel with Curt, Chris and Philip. During the Q&A we answered attendee's questions and talked about some tips and tricks we learned along the way.

AN INTRODUCTION TO MYSTERY TRAILS

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to use a 10×10 pop-up tent to hold your escape room game anywhere you want. BONUS: You'll be able to download the complete What Happened to Halloween? escape room mini-game.

PUZZLE IDEAS FOR YOUR ESCAPE ROOM AND PUZZLE GAMES

Curt and Philip will go over a bunch of their favorite puzzles from their book 101 Puzzles for Low Cost Escape Rooms

AN INTRODUCTION TO TABLETOP ESCAPE ROOM-STYLE GAMES

If you would like to engage 50 or more people at one time, tabletop puzzle games are the way to go. It all starts with a box on each table that includes everything a team needs for the game. Put one together for your camp or next corporate teambuilding weekend. BONUS: Complete instructions and printables for The Elements game (coming soon).

HOW TO CREATE A SEMI-PERMANENT ESCAPE ROOM SPACE AT CAMP

Philip will go over how he creates his escape rooms at camp, from coming up with a theme and storyline to finding the perfect spot at your camp or facility to building the escape room. Semi-permanent escape rooms are set-ups that cannot be moved due to the build (painted walls, specific furnishings for the game, etc.). While these games are still low or no-tech, they are the closest thing you’ll get to a commercial escape room.

AN INTRODUCTION TO PUZZLE RACES

If you like the idea of creating an escape room but want something quick and easy to put together as a separate activity, puzzle races may be what you’re looking for. This is where two or more teams solve a series of clues, riddles and puzzles, finding keys, and opening boxes to see who finishes first. There is no storyline and it can be done just about anywhere.

HOW TO CREATE A PORTABLE ESCAPE GAME

This class will show you how to make Portable Escape Boxes. These boxes are great to bring around to schools, shows, promos, or even for camps who don’t have the space to build an entire Escape Room. You will get all the instructions you need to go out and buy the materials and create one of these tomorrow! Chris also gives you a ton of great puzzle ideas you can easily make too!
